about

This is one of the bands favorite songs. My Grandmother was forced to live in a residential school. For those who don't know these schools in Canada were designed to commit social genocide on and the indigenous people. Children were beaten, starved, raped as punishment for speaking their own language or upholding any of their own traditions. Often children would die and often the families were not told. The last School closed in 1996 so do not mistake this for ancient history.

lyrics

Well Fuck you
I'm not a pawn
I've been here for too long
and I'm just wondering what's going on
here with my kin
I am is not a sin
and I wish that someone would see that

For so long and still going on
my life you're stripping away
amass every part of me
cashe it into the sea
removing everything that makes me strong.
makes me strong

I don't want your apology
I'm just struggling to be..

Free a life for me
Where I'm not told how to think or to speak
it may not be much but it's everything to me
and I feel like an ant inside just one of a million cries
And I wish that someone would see that

(no one left to see)
For so long and still going on
my life you're stripping away
(stripping away)
amass every part of me
cashe it into the sea
losing everything that makes me strong.

and I don't want your apology
I just want back what you took from me
I'm just struggling to be free
And I don't want your apology

We are a punk rock band from Calgary, Alberta, Canada called From Six Till Eight. We enjoy getting together to play fast, high energy music. Our sound is influenced by 90's punk rock and we try to bring the same energy and speed as bands like Bigwig and Good Riddance. We have already been lucky enough to share the stage with Seaway, The Dirty Nil, The Mahones, Youth Decay, and Living With Lions. ... more
